On Oct. 24th 2023, the China-Europe (Chengdu) Digital and Green Sustainable Development Conference, jointly hosted by the Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone Administration Committee, the German Global Market Leader (World Hidden Champion) Research and Training Institute (ADWM), and the German European Small and Medium-sized Enterprises China Cooperation Centre (DEZ), was held in Longquanyi District, Chengdu. The conference aims to promote high-level open cooperation between China and Europe, and accelerate the digital transformation and green development of industries.

OBERMEYER, as one of the representatives of suchlike enterprises that has extensive experiences for Green Sustainable Developments was invited to the conference. Mr. Christopher Knabe, General Manager of OBERMEYER China, attended and signed a cooperation agreement with the Sichuan-Europe Germany-Chengdu Innovation Technology Park at the Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone. The conference was attended by key figures from the political and business sectors of China and Germany, including the Chairman of the European Economic Senate, the Chairman of the German World Market Leader (World Hidden Champion) Conference Organizing Committee, the former Vice Chairman of the German Free Democratic Party, the former Deputy Governor of Baden-Württemberg, Dr. Walter D?ring.

During the event, the German-Sino European SME Cooperation Centre (Sichuan) was inaugurated. The Sino-Germon European SME Cooperation Centre (DEZ) is a one-stop service platform for trade, culture, technology, and industrial cooperation between Chinese and German SMEs. It is jointly established and organized by stakeholders from China, Germany, and Europe, with the aim of facilitating collaboration between German SMEs and providing specialized on-the-ground services to support their entry into the Chinese market.

Next, using the conference as a platform, it will domestically establish internal communication and cooperation channels for networking, investment promotion, and external bridges for communication and cooperation with Germany and Europe. This will promote closer cooperation between Chinese, German, and European small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as world-class hidden champion enterprises.
