OBERMEYER consortium was shortlisted for Bus Terminal Hub in Nansha
OBERMEYER teamed up with THUPDI has successfully been shortlisted for the Competition of Bus Terminal Hub in Nansha, Guangzhou, based on the relevant project experience.
The competition is organized by Construction and Transportation Bureau of Guangzhou Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone and Guangzhou Nansha Technology Investment Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Pearl River Engineering Construction Supervision Co., Ltd. is the organizing agent.
The Project is located in Huangge area of Nansha New Area, Guangzhou, where prominent conditions for building a gateway transit hub are guaranteed. Huangge is a key node for Nansha to realize coordinated development with the main urban area of Guangzhou and serve the industrial clusters on the east and west sides of the Pearl River. It is composed of the original seat of Huangge Bus Terminal and Nansha Vehicle Management Office as well as planned roads between them, totaling a land area of about 73,400 m2.
Nansha Huangge Terminal Hub is planned to be an urban integrated transit hub, a pilot zone for innovating the transportation industry, and an important engine for industry-city integration. It is envisaged as a public transit complex integrating Huangge Bus Terminal (passenger station), Nansha Vehicle Management Office, as well as commercial, office, hotel and apartment facilities guided by the principle of intensive land use and integrated development.
The Terminal is expected to be a workable forward-looking TOD-based transportation hub marked by station-city integration, intensive development, efficient and convenient transportation, as well as compound functions at multiple levels that will make the area more suitable to live and work in.
