In June 2024, OBERMEYER was invited to participate in the "International Master Invitational Competition for the Revival of Dingzhou Ancient City." Led by?Mr. Maximilian Grauvogl,?Honorary Academician of the German Institution of Engineers?(DIE), OBERMEYER team focused on the core theme of “Ancient City Revitalization”. With the vision of "Ancient Charm, New Brilliance, Dreamlike Impressions," the team explored the renewal and development of Dingzhou Ancient City from three key dimensions: spatial revitalization, industrial revitalization, and lifestyle revitalization. Bringing innovative design concepts, and extensive practical experience, OBERMEYER contributed a wealth of German expertise to the competition.

After more than 3 months of design, presentation and review, on September 25th, OBERMEYER team was honored the Best Performance Award by the Final Review Committee of the International Master Invitational Competition for the Revival of Dingzhou Ancient City.

Other Participants in the invitational competition included the team of Shenzhen General Institute of Architectural Design (SZAD) led by Meng Jianmin, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; the team of China Academy of Urban Planning and Design (CAUPD) led by Wang Kai, a National Master of Engineering Survey and Design; and the team of Beijing Institute of Architectural Design ( BIAD) led by Zhang Yu, also a National Master of Engineering Survey and Design.
